9th Annual Butterfly Release Beaumont

the Harbor Foundation hosted their 9th Annual Butterfly Release at Ford Park in Beaumont. We are once again blown away by its success and by the overwhelming support from both our employees and our community. We received a huge outpour of support from local businesses who sponsored this event with donations, great food, children’s activities, and lots of give-a-ways. With over 3,000 in attendance, we quickly sold 1,000 butterflies, hundreds of t-shirts, and almost 1,100 raffle tickets. All of these proceeds are going directly to Harbor Foundation to help with our mission of assisting patients who have needs that are outside the scope of healthcare.

Thank you to Alliance Medical Supply, Diagnostic Group, Harbor Hospice of Beaumont, Harbor Hospice of Baytown, Harbor Hospice of Houston, and Harbor Home Health for representing Harbor with fun and games for our community. A very special thank you to Larissa Giron Calderon and her team from the Harbor Hospice McAllen site, who drove over 430 miles to volunteer for this event. I am in awe of the support and dedication our McAllen site has shown.

For the last 9 years our goal for this event has remained the same, to give back to our community. Over the years we have seen this event grow from 100 attendees, to 1,000 attendees, to over 3,000 attendees. I am very proud that Harbor is able to host an event that so many in our community look forward to each year. It is because of this success that the Harbor Foundation is able to provide thousands of dollars of assistance to patients in-need. I am already looking forward to our 10th Annual Butterfly Release next year

All proceeds from butterfly and t-shirts sales go to Harbor Foundation.
